This is a journey of UX Design for one of our clients Light Sail, which is a custom software development company.
This project was done at Chista software consultant company.
Safeteams is a Software product that assists construction sites in enhancing workplace safety and reducing overhead costs. It is designed to streamline client safety procedures, including toolbox, meetings, inductions, safety alerts, and management reporting.
The system caters to two types of users: managers and staff. Managers use the web portal to work on logs and checklists and create safety inductions, while staff use the app to log in, log out, and complete induction forms.
Improve the project's flow and appearance and enhance the user experience for managers and staff.
After a personal interview with the Product Owner, Kane, we went through all the stages in the app and web portal, and we ended up with these main areas to focus on in our UX design:
Improve the usability of checklist management for managers in the web portal.
Improve the usability of topic management in the Inductions Form for managers in the web portal.
Improve Mobile App landing page.
Perform usability testing with users to find their daily struggles.
Prepare UX design ideas through sketches and low-fi Interactive prototypes to meet the objectives.
Perform usability testing to refine the solution.
To determine the main problem, I did a usability test with the Manager users. The functions that need to work on are :

How to allow multiple answer groups
How to create a conditional question
Improve the usability of groups and questions in the management topics in Inductions.
All of the tasks for this design were done individually by myself, such as:
Conduct usability testing with both users to see their daily struggles with the App.
Prepare UX design ideas in the form of sketches. Sketch
Review the sketches with the product owner and the software team and implement the ideas/changes they recommended.
Design Interactive Low-fidelity prototype.
Conduct usability testing with both types of users with the new Interactive prototype.
Implement the ideas/changes to the final design.
Time constraints: I have a four-week timeframe to complete the UX design, as they need to meet an almost eight-week deadline to complete all the jobs (UX design + implementation) by that time.
